Can I get my order baked fresh the same day of delivery?
YES/NO! In some cases I will bake orders on the same day, {i.e. layered cakes or 12 - 24 cupcakes (without alot of detail)} Tiered cakes will not be baked the same day because they require more of my time.
Why are your prices so high?
Homemade cakes and other pastries are priced differently from your average grocery stores. It takes time to make sure your cakes look good, as well as taste good. Custom cakes are never cheap. It takes hours and sometimes days to create a custom cake to fit your desire. Especially when it comes to gathering materials and making sure everything is just right for your special event.
What is Fondant?
Often times made with marshmallow and powdered sugar. Fondant is used to decorate and/or sculpt cakes, cookies, and cupcakes. Fondant can be eaten but it's main purpose is used to gives pastries a more polished look. Cakes and cupcakes are first decorated with a coat of a homemade buttercream frosting and then layed with fondant.
American Buttercream Frosting
Creamy, super sweet, and fluffy made with butter, high ratio shortening, powered sugar and milk.
Simple Meringue Buttercream Frosting
Silky-smooth, incredibly creamy, and a unbelievably delicious frosting. Not as sweet as American buttercream frosting. It is made with egg whites (fresh or pastuerized), a little powered sugar and lots of butter.
Ordering Process
Payments
Payments on cakes, cupcakes, cookies and other treats require a deposit at time that order is placed. NO EXCEPTIONS!! All orders require a 50% deposit at time order is placed. Remaining balance is due one week before order is due. Please see contract for other terms and conditions. Delivery is available for a fee of $50.
Ordering
When placing orders for cakes, take in consideration that I do book fast. I prefer that you place your order at least three weeks in advance. Wedding cakes need to be ordered two or three months in advance. Please be advised that when presenting pictures from other cake artist, note that the cake may not look exactly like the picture because I may want to add my own flare to the cake, unless otherwise stated.
